To celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the opening of the New River we will be ringing our church bells from 9.30 to 10am on the morning of Saturday 28 September  followed by a short service by the river.

On Sunday the 29th we will be serving cream teas from 2 pm until the start of our Evensong at 6.30pm

 

Sunday 29th all Churches along the New River:

Churches along the route of the New River have been invited to ring their bells on the anniversary Sunday 29 September, also to include the New River in some way during their services. Islington churches ringing their bells include St. Mary’s, St. Mary Magdalene and St. James’s. Churches from Ware, Broxbourne and Cheshunt to Enfield and Wood Green will also be ringing their bells.
